Little Haven
Half Marathon

Through cliff paths, woodland and village trails

Saturday 25th April 2026 — Race Day
Welcome to Little Haven

Now in its seventh year, the Little Haven Half Marathon takes runners on a stunning loop through some of Pembrokeshire's finest coastal and inland trails. Starting and finishing on the beach slipway in the village, the route winds up onto the coast path before dipping inland through ancient oak woodland and working farmland.

This is not a PB course — the terrain is rough, the hills are honest, and the mud in April is largely guaranteed. But the views from the headland at mile 4 and again at mile 9 make every step worthwhile.

We cap entries at 150 runners to keep the event friendly and to protect the trail. Chip timing is provided. There's a village hall finish with soup, bread and something stronger from the Swan Inn for those who fancy it.

Route Description

The race starts on the slipway at Little Haven beach (SA62 3UW) and immediately climbs the zig-zag path up to Borough Head (waypoint 2). Runners follow the Pembrokeshire Coast Path north for approximately 3.5 miles with views across St Bride's Bay before descending toward Marloes.

From Marloes (wp 3) the route turns inland, following field edges and farm tracks through Hasguard and Walton West (wp 4). This section has the only properly flat ground on the course — a relief by mile 8. The cut-off check point is here.

A long loop through Hasguard farmland (wp 5) and Settlands Hill brings you back to the coast for the final 2 miles before the descent to the finish on the slipway where you started.

The route is fully waymarked with orange and green flags. GPX files are emailed to registered runners 4 weeks before race day.

Terrain note: The coast path sections include exposed rocky ground and stiles. Trail shoes with a grip sole are required. Road shoes will not be permitted at registration.
